Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

American actor Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8th in 1967). Her most notable roles include Alison Parker on Melrose Place and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She also appeared as Cheryl in According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy in Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Her father, Walter Smith, was a computer market researcher and her mother, Lora Thorne, was a Therapist. They separated when Courtney was just seven. She was with both parents at different stages. She has a younger sister named Jennifer, who is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended the Menlo-Atherton High school located in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in the year 1985. When she was in the high school system, she performed in the Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne Smith's first film appearance was in the 1986 movie drama Lucas. The film was co-produced by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) and Charlie Sheen. Thorne-Smith was also a part of various films in the late 1980s, like Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987), and Side Out (1990). She was a part of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, as Chairman of the Board. In 2009 she was the lead in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith had a relationship with Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen boyfriend from Melrose Place. The actress wed geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. The couple divorced in 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group Zizo Group, a marketing company) and the author of What I Know was her wedding date. On the 11th of January, 2008, aged 40 she gave birth to her son, Jacob Emerson Fishman.
