Abi Clarke
In the past, i.e. in the early 2020s comedians were expected to be performing for years in the UK before being invited on a TV panel and selling out arena tours. It's not so easy. Comedy is one form of art that can continue to be performed front of a live audience, but we're not going to be seeing arena tours anytime in the near future. One comedian from Bristol is able to reach an international audience via social media lockdown. Abi Clarke never set up to become an online popular. Abi, who is 24, lives in Henbury and began creating videos online "to build a network of like-minded individuals who would be interested in my standup comedy." "I had been performing many more shows in Devon for men 50 and over, so I began creating online videos hoping to build an audience of people who would enjoy my stand up comedy," Abi said.
